Lake Harriet Remodel

This grand home on Lake Harriet was filled with gracious rooms and historic details, but it had a tangled circulation pattern and lacked spaces suited to a 21st-century family. Without adding new square footage, stairways were relocated to improve flow and create a mudroom, a generous kitchen, and attic access. Opening the floor beneath a dormer increased daylight and enhanced views, while materials and details gracefully blend the modern plan with the original home.
