Porch Perfection
Porches are more than a home’s threshold—they are a space to gather, relax, and connect. Elevated and covered, they offer shelter from the elements while inviting the outdoors in, making them a summertime staple and a perfect extension of daily life.
A summertime staple and transition season must-have, porches provide the perfect gathering space for casual warm weather socializing and relaxing. Unlike uncovered decks or ground-level patios, porches hug the outside of the home on an elevated platform and are covered by an extended roof.

In the Kenwood Park remodel, the porch was thoughtfully designed to complement the home’s early 1900s Craftsman architecture. It enhances curb appeal, creates a more welcoming entry, and deepens the connection between house and garden. Ceiling fans ensure comfort on warm afternoons, allowing the space to be enjoyed well into summer evenings.

The Wrapped in Edina Charm porch takes a more expansive approach. Its wrap-around design and tongue-and-groove ceilings invite conversation and slow, intentional moments. Rustic hanging pendants extend the porch’s usable hours, while a sunroom at the back of the home provides a bright retreat for cooler months, keeping the outdoors within reach year-round.
No matter the style, porches create a welcoming entrance and extension of the home, perfect for enjoying lush Minnesota summers and the company of neighbors, friends, and family. Check out our exteriors gallery to explore more of our favorite remodeled outdoor spaces.
