Mike Zerull
Project Manager
Growing up around construction, Mike was exposed to the trades at a young age through his dad. He always had a knack for fixing things and was the kid who took doorknobs apart just to see how they worked. In his early twenties, he began his career as an entry-level finish carpenter and worked his way up to foreman at Tappe Construction. He later moved into remodeling with Vujovich Design Build, advancing from lead carpenter to project manager. Mike has now spent 25 years in construction, including roughly twelve years as a project manager.
Professionally, Mike is known for his keen eye for detail, hard work, and pride in everything he does. Client satisfaction has always been at the top of his list. Creating new relationships with clients and providing them with an exceptional remodeling experience is at the top of his list. For him, the smile on a client’s face when they see their vision come to life is priceless. Mike has always loved construction. There is never a dull moment, and every project presents its own challenges. To him, a project is like a jigsaw puzzle: piece by piece it comes together, each piece helping the next.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys the outdoors, from camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, to golfing. He has played in pool leagues weekly for 25 years and loves concerts, especially in smaller, intimate venues. He enjoys watching sports, including the Vikings, Wild, Wolves, and Twins, and treasures weekends at the family cabin. He also enjoys family trips, tackling home or cabin projects, cheering on his kids’ sports, game nights, and Thursday date nights with his wife.
