Ashlan Broom
Interior Designer
Ashlan’s passion for interior design started early, inspired by her aunt’s decorating skills and appreciation for antiques. She graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Ashlan began her career in central and southern Indiana, working on both residential and commercial projects. During this time, she realized how much she enjoys designing homes near water and in natural surroundings.
Wanting a change of scenery and a desire to explore the East Coast, Ashlan moved to Maine to continue her love of designing waterfront homes, this time along the state’s beaches. Her interest in history grew as she worked on several restoration projects for historic homes throughout New England.
Ashlan later moved to Minnesota to be closer to family and friends. She enjoys blending the needs of today’s families with the character of historic homes. Ashlan also cares deeply about inclusive design and creating spaces where people can age comfortably. One of her favorite projects was restoring an 1800s home in Massachusetts, which allowed her to combine her love of historic design with her commitment to aging in place.
Outside of work, Ashlan enjoys antique shopping for hidden treasures, walking along the lakes, and cooking and baking.
