A four-foot bumpout of the first floor of this home provided space for an enlarged kitchen, an informal eating area, and a new mudroom. The addition also breaks up the massing of the home's rear facade, giving it a more human scale.

Kitchen Remodel
More than just a kitchen remodel occurred in this area. The four-foot addition expanded the breakfast nook into a more open informal eating area, made room for a closet to be converted into a mudroom, expanded the kitchen, and opened the whole layout of the back of the home. White custom cabinets, plenty of natural light, and colorful pendants by Galbraith and Paul give this kitchen a light, airy feel.
