Kid-Friendly Basement Finish
Our clients wanted to finish the walkout basement in their 1998 home. They were looking for a family room, craft area, bathroom and a space to transform into a “guest room” for the occasional visitor. They wanted a space that could handle a crowd of young children, provide lots of storage and was bright and colorful. The result is a beautiful space featuring custom cabinets, a kitchenette, a craft room, and a large open area for play and entertainment. Cleanup is a snap with durable surfaces and movable storage, and the furniture is easy for children to rearrange.

Basement Craft Room
The craft room is divided into several work areas - one next to the walls where the countertop runs, and one at the island. The island is a great place for messier crafts like finger painting, since the stainless steel top cleans easily.

Basement Craft Room
The craft room is packed with storage spaces, including drawers in the countertop against the wall, a full-height cabinet, and drawers in the island. Crafting takes a lot of equipment, but so much space to store it, it can be out of sight when the task is done.
